Step inside or enjoy the inviting, romantic patio seating that many diners rave about for its warm ambiance on cooler evenings. The venue’s lively yet relaxed vibe is complemented by live performances—Monica Potpourri fondly recalls the soulful Motown classics sung and played on piano, which created an irresistibly nostalgic soundtrack to her evening. Whether indoors or out, the atmosphere at Chophouse reaches an elegant balance of sophistication and understated comfort.
The menu is a true showcase of USDA Prime-only steaks and fresh seafood, each dish crafted to highlight the rich flavors and quality that discerning palates crave. The bone-in rib eye, a hefty 22-ounce masterpiece, commands attention with its perfect sear and juicy tenderness, while the Delmonico Steak offers a Cajun twist or classic broiled option, satisfying those who appreciate bold regional touches. For steak lovers seeking variety, the New York Strip and filet mignon provide melt-in-your-mouth indulgence, each seasoned and cooked to perfection.
Seafood selections are equally impressive—imagine the rich, velvety Crab Bisque, a favorite of both first-time diners and regulars alike, or the Baked Shrimp Colossals smothered in garlic butter, Parmesan, and crunchy breadcrumbs, delivering a savory burst of flavor with every bite. The Redfish Amandine, topped with jumbo crab and toasted almonds, perfectly captures the essence of coastal New Orleans fare. And for an unforgettable treat, their two broiled or fried giant 8-ounce lobster tails are a decadent choice that feels like a special occasion on a plate.
Start your meal with an assortment of irresistible appetizers: the New York Style Thick Cut Sizzling Bacon is a smoky, indulgent delight, while the Carpaccio of prime beef tenderloin offers a refined taste for those who enjoy delicate flavors. Crab and shrimp cocktails bring a refreshing contrast, expertly dressed with classic sauces that enhance rather than overpower the seafood.
Desserts at Chophouse promise an equally memorable finish. The gigantic chocolate cake and real Key Lime Pie are made to share—or to savor as a personal reward after a truly standout meal. The delicate cheesecake, praised by diners like Martin Loehr, pairs beautifully with a glass of their exceptional wine or even champagne, perfect for toasting any special moment.

Went here for date night, same day reservations but outside seating was the onky available option. And for a cool night, it wasn't bad at all. The patio was very romantic. I dont know who was singing and playing the piano Sunday night, but he was singing the Motown oldies and we enjoyed every song he sang. Food, service, atmosphere, and entertainment A+. My wife had the crab bisque that comes with the create your own seafood platter and even though it was pricey (it only says Market Value), she loved it! I had the chophouse salad and 16 oz NY strip, medium, and the sear on that steak was perfect. We had a couple Old Fashion cocktails, good and strong. My only gripe, mashed potatoes are not on the menu, smh. We will definitely come back here when we visit. Street parking, and for pay parking lot across the street.
Went here for a dinner meeting, so our meal was pre-planned but all the food that I tried was fantastic and the service was great! Make sure you get a reservation though, the place was packed. Was very impressed with the crumb comb the waitress used between meals (I don’t eat “fancy” often hahah) I recommend the thick cut bacon, New York Strip, and cheesecake for dessert. They make a mean whiskey sour, and I normally don’t like wine, but “The Prisoner Red Blend” was surprisingly good.
Romantic setting. Loved it. We made reservations online and added our special occasion, anniversary. They had a card on our table wishing us a happy anniversary and gave us a dessert treat!
Yesterday we came to celebrate my birthday, it was our first time eating at this restaurant and everything was perfect. Mauricio (I think that’s his name) did an excellent job from beginning to end. The food 10/10, ambiance 10/10, service 10/10.
When I called, they told us all they had for reservations was 8pm or later but I was able to book a 6:15 spot somehow online, luckily. We were promptly sat upon arrival and our waiter didn't come by for maybe 5 minutes (whatever). I don't recall his name but he was friendly and welcoming. We didn't ask for drink/app recommendations but he also didn't offer any- we had the Dirty Martini (they aren't kidding about the 'dirty' part FYI) and the Indigo Martini, and both were delicious. We also had the baked shrimp which were very good. They came out on a hot plate and, in my opinion, it seemed the shrimp were pre-cooked and then "finished" to order because the shrimp itself wasn't as hot throughout as the plate was. It wasn't bad but just an observation. They don't have a large menu so we chose what we wanted to eat quickly, and put that order in when our drinks were delivered. I did ask for entree recommendations and he only recommended the NY strip steak (again, there aren't a lot of options on the menu). We ended up ordering the Redfish Amandine, the NY Strip, asparagus and the baked potato for sides. Thankfully, he told me the redfish was a fried fish (not noted on the menu) and I was going to change my order but he said they could pan fry which was acceptable, and turned out good. The steak was delicious and perfectly cooked. There are only 3 dessert options- none of which sounded appealing- so we skipped dessert. Overall good experience and I would go back again.
Very classy, service and steak was amazing. Nice piano music. Disappointed in few guest wore t shirts, they should have sat at the bar
The Chophouse delivered an outstanding dining experience. My filet mignon was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and exactly right. The sides were large enough to share, and everything came out fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was elegant yet welcoming, and the staff was attentive, friendly, and made the evening feel special. Overall, Chophouse New Orleans is a top choice for a classic steakhouse experience done right.
